Three clubs annual reunion

Earlier this month members from the Rotary clubs of Cannock, Brie Pontault France and Bad Kreuznach-Nahetal  Germany celebrate 43 years of their association by meeting in the French city of Amiens.

The link between the three clubs has remained strong with the clubs meeting every year on a rotation basis. The three clubs maintain strong links throughout the year, often working together on joint projects. The most recent being the Rotary Club of Bad Kreuznach -Nahetal providing funds for the Book4Home project which has enabled 14 book boxes to be provided to primary schools in the Cannock Chase area.

This year visit started with a Friday evening boat trip and meal on the River Somme, on Saturday the group of 55 had a guided tour of the cathedral in Amiens followed by a smaller boats trip around the waterways of Amiens. There was a gala dinner on Saturday evening. On Sunday the clubs had a working breakfast prior to their return journeys home.

As is customary the Rotary clubs from Cannock & Bad Kreuznach -Nahetal donated to the host club Brie Pont for a project of their choice.

The reunion meeting in May 2025 is in the UK and the Cannock club have already started planning the visit.
