The Big Band Jazz ensemble from Netherstowe High School provided the music for a 60 strong choir from St Luke’s Primary School who sang their hearts out and never missed a word performing 13 songs.
Rotary president David Marklew said he was delighted and proud to be associated with putting on a show of this magnitude, tonight was about team work and getting three schools to coordinate a show like this was a fantastic achievement
The evening belonged to the Children who performed and showed us just what talent we have in our area.
As president you only have one year in office and you try to put on events that will stay in your memory for years to come. This show was the highlight of my year.
I thank all the performers and teachers for the evening because it is they who have done the hard work on the night, we were just the vehicle to make it happen.
Rotary wish to thank a number of sponsors who made contributions to the evening, ASDA superstore, Selman’s Funeral Services and the Linford group, again with the help of local business we would not have been able to have held the event at such a prestigious venue.
