Cannock Rotarians donated £311 this month to a joint project on behalf of BDF newlife to purchase special equipment for a project for an individual in the Cannock area.
The Stroke Association are hosting a fantastic Fire Walk event on Friday 4th November 2011 @ Hednesford Town FC, Keys Park Stadium, Hednesford. Challenge yourself and your colleagues to walk over hot coals with the temperature reaching a heat up of to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit, whilst raising funds to support people affected by stroke. Your support will help the Stroke Association to work towards a vision of a world with fewer strokes and where those affected by stroke get the help and support they need. Hot foot it to Hednesford Town and get involved in the event and help us raise vital funds. You can enter as an individual or as part of a team. A quick “welcome and hello” from Cannock Rotary Club members to the Group Study Exchange Team (GSE) from Canada who are visiting district 1210. The Rotary Foundation’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for businesspeople and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 who are in the early stages of their careers. The program provides travel grants for teams to exchange visits in paired areas of different countries. For four to six weeks, team members experience the host country’s culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas.
